I believe that a good teacher is the perfect balance of firmness and understanding, of guidance and freedom, of mentor and friend.

I truly found something I love, and found a way to do it for a living. I opened Discovery Daycare with the vision that I would be able to teach the things that the children want and need to learn. I created a place where a child could explore the world and develop a love and a passion for learning. Children are excited to learn about different countries and cultures, and like knowing that people do things differently all around the world.  They should be able to learn at their own pace, and I make sure they get plenty of one on one attention at Discovery Daycare. I encourage confidence and independence, and want children to take as much pride in themselves as I take in them.

My bachelors degree is in Physics, and I have completed course work towards my M.Ed. Even before I could work as a teacher, I was volunteering in younger classrooms as a kid, and finding ways to teach because it's truly my calling.

I also decided to bring my love of the sciences with me to Discovery Daycare. I want the kids to experiment and try new things, predict what may happen, and sometimes fail and know that it's okay, only to try again. I want them to be aware of the things that are happening around them, and to wonder about everything they see and feel. Children should be able to solve problems from an early age. The world is a magical place. The kids at Discovery Daycare love to explore it and have so much fun doing it!
